African NGOs are navigating an increasingly complex and constrained funding environment. Competition for funding continues to intensify, donor priorities are shifting, and many organisations are under growing pressure to diversify income and strengthen their fundraising capacity, often with limited support and contextually relevant guidance.
In response, @AfricanNGOs and Hexa Media Africa will launch the African NGO Fundraising Hub on 26 February 2026, during our next NGO Power Talk webinar.
The African NGO Fundraising Hub is being developed as a practical, accessible online space designed specifically for African NGOs. Its purpose is simple: to help organisations strengthen their fundraising efforts and long-term sustainability by providing grounded insights, real-world advice, and resources that reflect the realities of fundraising on the continent.
The hub will feature a growing range of content, including:
• Thought leadership articles on fundraising trends, challenges, and opportunities;
• Practical guidance and tools for day-to-day fundraising work;
• Expert responses to fundraising questions submitted by NGOs;
• Curated funding opportunities relevant to African organisations;
• An events calendar highlighting fundraising-related learning opportunities; and
• Other resources identified by NGOs and practitioners.
Crucially, the hub will not be a static website or a one-way information channel. It is being built as a shared resource, shaped by the collective experience, knowledge, and needs of African NGOs, fundraisers, and sector stakeholders.
As we prepare for the launch, we are inviting African NGOs and fundraising practitioners to help us populate the hub. We are particularly interested in:
• Relevant articles, blogs, tools, guides, or resources which we could publish;
• Information on funding opportunities or fundraising-related events;
• Examples of practical fundraising approaches that have worked in African contexts;
• Fundraising challenges, issues, or questions that the hub should address.
Your input will help ensure that the African NGO Fundraising Hub is responsive, relevant, and valuable to the organisations it aims to serve.
If you have fundraising content to share, specific questions that need attention, or would like to highlight your information requirements, please complete the short Google form. Your feedback will help shape the hub before and after its launch.
Together, we can build a collective resource that strengthens fundraising practice and supports the sustainability and impact of African NGOs.
